TEAM COOPERATION FOCUSED ON A COMMON GOAL

GALLERY OF PERSPECTIVES

The game was inspired by the story of the great stained glass window of the famous Gloucester Cathedral in England (also due to Harry Potter). To protect the artwork from destruction during the war, the stained glass window was dismantled, documented in detail and hidden away. The stained glass survived the war, but the instructions by which it could be restored have been lost.

In Gallery of Perspectives, participants will face the challenge once faced by conservators of a stained glass window in Gloucester. They will have to recreate the design using incomplete and scattered information.

The workshop consists of two stages, in each of which participants face a different challenge. After the first part, they draw conclusions about the organization of work, proper communication or project management, which prove useful in the next stage of the game.

Thanks to this meeting structure, the participants easily assimilate knowledge and skills, and the atmosphere in the room becomes increasingly heated with each passing moment.

Combining perspectives in a stained glass studio

In the first exercise, participants will be divided into teams of 3-4 people. They will have to reproduce together a stained glass pattern of different colors, on the cards prepared for this purpose. Proper communication, efficient sharing of knowledge, good organization of work, as well as memory and perceptiveness will come in handy.

After completing this stage, the participants will consider how to improve cooperation in the team. The lessons learned will serve them in the next, more complex task.

Relay of efficiency in stained glass studio

This time, the group will be divided into larger teams (8-12 people), whose task will be to reproduce a stained glass window by properly stacking the transparent boards on top of each other. First, players must discover how to arrange the boards, and then refine the stacking process. In the final round, all teams must assemble their stained glass windows on a relay basis, in a very short time. In this game, participants face time pressure, and the tension increases with each passing minute, until the exciting finale! This task cannot be done alone – you need a well-organized and efficiently communicating team!
