Participants become in the game colonisers on Mars. Their task is to build there a prosperous research station in 3 months (represented by 3 rounds in the game). Each round consists of a precise planning phase and quick execution phase during which players must implement their plans.
Each task has a determined priority and value of points. Some tasks are indispensable for the successful outcome of the mission, while others tempt with the high number of points that can be scored.
After each round players sum up their work and review the plan.
The game illustrates the ‘Agile approach’ with its characteristic sprints, reviews and retrospection and the role of a scrum master. It enables to learn and experience agile practices.
