Business simulation program for high potentials40 people – development program – 2 days
ChallengeThe board of a Polish company wished to increase the effectiveness of its talent management program. It decided to use a game as an aid to managerial development of key employees.
SolutionA group of promising young managers participated in the development program over a period of several months. After a series of workshops and training sessions the time came to put what they had learned into practice. Participants all held real-life middle management positions but in simulations they took on the role departmental directors, responsible for establishing and implementing corporate strategy, planning, purchasing, production, competitor analysis and market forecasts.
The simulation allowed participants to gain and practice skills of interpreting financial ratios, visualizing the impact of decisions on the financial position of the company and create balance sheets of profit and loss accounts. It provided a practical summary of the development program, allowing participants to test out their knowledge and skills in practice.
