Between August 17th and 29th 2014 The Bucerius Summer School on Global Governance was held in Hamburg (Germany). The event was organized by two foundations: ZEIT – Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius and Heinz Nixdorf Stiftung. 60 participants – leaders of tomorrow from 28 countries are young professionals from the world of business, politics and science.

The aim of the Bucerius Summer School is to foster leadership qualities among young professionals by opening a cross-border dialogue on current questions of global relevance. Participants will be inspired by – and learn from – high profile speakers who are eminent public figures in politics, business, academia and the NGO sphere.

On August 27th Pracownia Gier Szkoleniowych was pleased to conduct a workshop based on Hexgame simulation. Pracownia has previously cooperated with the foundation during the Latin American Forum on Global Governance in Brazil and the Asian Forum on Global Governance in India. Players participated in a strongly engaging experience of country management. They had very limited resources with restricted access. They had to negotiate on different authority levels and deal with local crises as well as social discontent. In a situation of obstructed communication they had to manage the country rationally and fulfill their leader role.
